As a student at UC Berkeley, Elise created an interdisciplinary major called Art for Environmental Education, integrating art into the education of environmental issues. With this she has explored children's curriculum design, mural painting, documentary making, and graphic design for various causes and nonprofits. 

Funded by the Redwood City Arts Council, Elise painted bee boxes for the gardens of local elementary schools. In an ongoing project with Calpirg's Save the Bees campaign, she will continue to work with these schools to create programs and curriculum to educate about pollinators and their environmental importance . 

Elise collaborated with the

Planet Bee Foundation (planetbee.org) to create several illustrations and graphics to teach elementary school children about honey bees and their impact in the environment. 

Collaboration with San Francisco Department of the Environment and Recology Education Programs to demonstrate the environmental impacts of conventional farming vs. organic farming, and the importance of composting our food waste. Scroll through the images below:

If wildfire is a natural element of the California landscape, why has it grown to be so dangerous? In her mini-documentary for the Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management at UC Berkeley, Elise discusses how our forests have become more susceptible to fire over time. It is crucial to understand how problems have developed so we can avoid similar policy-making in the future.
